Amazon smoothies

Amazon smoothies

What is the best option for a quick and light dinner or a great snack? A smoothie. Here you will find three variations. They are all green, but with different shades of green and of course with different ingredients. They are thick, as smoothies should be, consisting raw fruits and vegetables with additional yoghurt and some toppings. I called them the “Amazon green smoothie triplets”.

I have three greenish smoothies to share with you. Choose the one you love the most or just use them to inspire you.

The pale green:

  •  200 ml yoghurt
  •  2 passion fruits
  •  nuts

The Big Green:

The spinach will give you iron power.
The spinach will give you iron power.
  • 250 g spinach
  • 1 banana
  • nuts
  • 1 passion fruit
  • 1lime
  • cinnamon
  • linseeds

All you need is a blender, a knife, cups or bowls and a spoon. Making the smoothie consists of washing, peeling, cutting, squeezing, scraping and blending.

Wash the apples, spinach and blackberries. Peel the banana, kiwi and avocado. Cut the fruits in smaller pieces. Squeeze the grapefruit, mandarin and lime. These ingredients (plus the coconut milk) all go in the blender, depending on which smoothie you decide to make. You can also add the yoghurt in the blender or put it directly in the cup. Blend for a couple of minutes or until it gets smooth.

Cut the passion fruit in half, scrape out the seeds and use it as a topping together with nuts, walnuts, linseeds or cinnamon.

In a bowl or cup put some yoghurt (if you didn’t already use it), pour the blended mixture in and add the toppings.

Take a spoon and enjoy the green smoothie triplets, one by one!
