Who we are
Hello. I am the one who’s behind PassionSpoon and who becomes “we” in this Privacy Policy. I am also the only administrator of this website. PassionSpoon is a private food blog that provides you with delicious recipes with photos, which I create. Our website address is https://passionspoon.com.
As you might have heard, the new law goes into effect on 25th May 2018. This law is called General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). It refers to a policy put in place in the EU to harmonize the laws regarding data collection and protection.
Your personal data is unique to you. We have always been careful to protect your information. We believe you should know what data we collect from you and how we use it, and that you should have meaningful control over both. This new law will give you more clarity on how your personal information is managed.
This website treats your personal data confidentially. If you use this website, various personal data will be collected. Personal data is information that personally identifies you. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and what we use it for. It also explains how and for what purpose this happens.
What personal data do we collect, and how and why do we collect it
We collect information about you only if we have a reason to communicate with you or to make our Services better. Many data are collected when you provide information to us, automatically through operating our Services, and from outside sources. Personal data is generated from technical processes such as contact forms, comments, cookies, analytics, and third-party embeds. Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You can revoke an existing consent at any time.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
You might use also an account to log in and leave a comment (WordPress, Google, Twitter, Facebook). In that case, your email address and IP address might be shared with the administrator of that site.
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

When you contact us by the contact form we collect your name, your email address, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. This data will be stored only to associate with you and to write a replay. We store your data only for a certain period of time and we do not use the information submitted for marketing purposes. We will never publish your email address.
