Green vitamin smoothie bowl

Winter is still here. This is the time of the year when different viruses are flying around trying to catch us. And what we all need in winter? Vitamins! This green vitamin smoothie bowl is the right thing! It will fill you with proteins and minerals for healthy skin and hair. It will boost you with calcium and make your bones stronger.

The green vitamin smoothie bowl contains vegetables and fruits, which are mostly of a green colour. I know you are familiar with all the ingredients, but you have never thought to put all of them together.

Ingredients for 2 portions of green vitamin smoothie bowl:

  • a handful of Savoy cabbage
  • 1 Tbsp of chopped cilantro
  • half a cucumber
  • 1 romaine lettuce
  • 100 ml coconut water (or more, if the smoothie gets too thick)
  • 1 celery stalk
  • 1 apple
  • juice of one lime
  • 1 frozen banana

This will be super quick. Prepare a knife and a blender. Wash the vegetables and the fruits. Discard the hard parts of the cabbage stem and the apple core with seeds. Then roughly chop and cut all of the ingredients (except the frozen banana). I usually cut the banana in rounds before freezing it. Like that it’s way easier to use.

Place half of the chopped vegetables in the blender, followed by apple and frozen banana. Then squeeze in the juice of one lime, add the rest of vegetables and pour in the coconut water. Cover the glass and blend for about 30 seconds to 1 minute.

Once you get a nice smooth texture, divide it into two bowls and decorate with toppings.

Toppings for the green vitamin smoothie bowl:

  • 1 banana (cut into rounds)
  • 2 tsp of Curcuma (turmeric)
  • 4 Tbsp of granola
  • 2-3 chopped dates

Start with adding the granola to the green vitamin smoothie bowl. You can buy it or simply make it at home. It’s easy, fast and a lot more convenient than buying it. How to make granola? You can check some of my old recipes. Furthermore, add the chopped dates and the banana rounds. For the final touch, sprinkle with some turmeric.

Stay healthy and enjoy!
