Green banana smoothie

I would like to share with you another healthy and easy recipe. Using only raw fruits, veggies and some liquids, you can make an amazing thick smoothie drink. I like to experiment by mixing different fruits and veggies, to get unexpected flavours. Another thing I like to do is using great toppings; this would be an upgrade of the “normal” smoothie. Smoothie bowls like this one are great for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Prepare your blender, two smoothie bowls and start creating the vitamin boost for the day.

Ingredients for 2:

  • 3 bananas (cut, frozen)
  • 4 handfuls of spinach
  • 3 dates (cut)
  • ½ avocado
  • 1 Tbsp of Curcuma
  • 250 ml of almond milk

Ingredients for toppings:

  • ½ avocado
  • 1-2 tsp of coconut flakes
  • 1-2 Tbsp of self-made granola
  • ¼ pomegranate
  • 1-2 tsp of line seeds

Place the blender in front of you and put in half of the bananas, the spinach, avocado, the dates, then the rest of bananas, the Curcuma powder and the almond milk. Cover the glass and blend until you get a thick and smooth drink. The frozen fruits and avocado will make it smooth as ice-cream, spinach and Curcuma will add the colour, dates and milk will add the sweetness.

Pour the mixture into the smoothie bowls and decorate with the toppings. I placed the avocado slices in the middle of the bowl, with granola on one side and pomegranate seeds on the other. Then I sprinkled the line seeds over the avocado and finished with coconut flakes in the centre of the bowl. As always, use your imagination and improve my recipe.

Now take a spoon and enjoy!
